Notes |
His work is included in numerous public and private collections. Tryon Overpass is the title of the drawing but not the name of the bridge. Stenhouse believes that the overpass is just a nameless utilitarian structure in the industrial zone of North Charlotte. During the period of 1986 to 1993 most of his drawing subjects were anonymous utilitarian or industrial structures such as this. They are the unregarded backbones of our working society, but he see's in them a quiet beauty of strength and function in unadorned form. |
