Notes |
Vincent Mastracco was a leading exponent of the abstract expressionalist school. William Zimmer, reviewing Mastracco's work in the NY Times in 1993, referred to Mastracco as a "second-generation abstract expressionist." In placing Mastracco in that art historical context, the writer is lauding Mastracco's use of a style void of subject matter that relies on formal elements of painting- principally color and shape. |
