Notes |
Leo Krikorian began his artistic career in the mid 1940's. He began my paintings with the cubistic tradition toward the now popular know color field painting. Late in the late 1970's Krikorian established permanent residence in France when he began experimenting with fluctuating space, enhancing it with vibrant colors and the use of reverse symmetry approaching the oriental yin-yang symbol. The space is always inferred never arriving at a final conclusion. The spectator realize a new relationship in mass, form, color and line creating a continuous process of exploration and a field of meditation which he refers to as implied space. |
